PRACTICAL TRAINING OF PHYSICAL THERAPY SPECIALISTS AT DANISH UNIVERSITIES: DESCRIBING OF APPROACHES

Abstract

The subject of the research is the implementation of innovations in the professional training of physical therapy specialists in Danish universities. 

We used some methods, such as scientific, psychological, pedagogical, and methodical literature analysis.

Results. The features of practical training of specialists in physical therapy are described in the example of the Copenhagen Professional Higher School of the Copenhagen University of Applied Sciences (Denmark). The research has identified several critical principles for introducing innovations in the professional training of physical therapy specialists. These principles include consistency, interdisciplinarity, professional specificity, early professionalization, unity of tradition and innovation, differentiation/individualization, heuristic interactivity, and independence.

The types of practical classes and features of evaluation of clinical training of physical therapy specialists are described. The prerequisites, means (clinical considerations in physiotherapy), and methods of clinical training evaluation are determined.

Conclusions. Given the significant changes in the healthcare system and the aspiration to enter the international arena, educational institutions in Ukraine are compelled to revamp the organization and content of education. This transformation is necessary to prepare a new generation of personnel with higher education that can meet the demands of both domestic and foreign labor markets. The research on the principles of innovation in physical therapy specialist's professional training provides a solid foundation for these necessary modifications.
