Abstract

Research subject: didactic principles in economists' training. Enhancing critical thinking skills allows individuals to dissect intricate economic issues, weigh various perspectives, and make well-informed decisions. They can recognize biases, evaluate assumptions, analyze the ethical implications of their choices, comprehend complex systems, communicate effectively, and contribute to the advancement of their industry. Articulating principles is crucial for fostering critical thinking in aspiring economists and is the initial step in creating a practical pedagogical system for their preparation.

Research Approach. We synthesized and categorized academic literature to develop critical thinking among future economists. The didactic principles employed are designed to enhance economists' essential thinking abilities.

Results. Our study has established the didactic principles essential for professional training in economics: general educational principles (such as promoting advanced development, fostering open education, ensuring educational continuity, and encouraging innovation in the academic field) and specific didactic principles for economics training.

Conclusions. Universities must prioritize the development of critical thinking skills in future economists.
