The object of research is a diagnostic system for determining the readiness of athletes to use innovative types of motor activity.
Materials and Methods. Our research was conducted using a comprehensive approach, including analysis of scientific, psychological, pedagogical, and methodological literature and pedagogical observation, ensuring the reliability and validity of our findings.
Results. The levels of future athletes’ readiness to use innovative types of motor activity in professional activity are determined by five criteria: motivational and value, cognitive, technological, professional and activity, behavioral and reflective. The indicators can be motivation, theoretical awareness of physical culture, and sports specialists concerning innovations, gymnastic fitness, level of development of motor qualities, ability to coach activity, self-analysis, and voluntary self-regulation.
Conclusions. The developed diagnostic apparatus, a practical tool, can be used to check the effectiveness of the athletes' training system, providing a tangible benefit to sports education and training.
