Abstract

War radically reshapes the understanding of human potential in education. In relatively stable periods, it is usually described as a combination of knowledge, skills, motivation, and professional competencies. Under conditions of air-raid alarms, loss and displacement, an additional dimension comes to the fore – the capacity to withstand prolonged stress, to keep educational communities viable, and to sustain a sense of future.
